Volunteer
We're always looking for dedicated volunteers! OCC: All Retriever Rescue is strictly a volunteer organization and we need all the help we can get to continue saving retrievers in need. Even if you can only offer an hour a week, every bit counts.

 

OCC: All Retriever Rescue could not save nearly as many dogs without the support of volunteers. If you have an interest in volunteering, we have opportunities in the following areas:

Dog Walker
Dog walkers socialize, exercise and train our dogs that are currently boarded or in foster care. These volunteers help prevent the dogs from becoming depressed and lethargic.

Foster Home
Foster parents provide temporary homes for our rescues and give us valuable information needed to find the right match. Please see our foster home page for more information.

Transporter
Volunteers help transport dogs to and from adoption events, vet visits, shelter pick ups, grooming appointments, or adoption meetings.

Home Check
Dogs from animal shelters are often amazing escape artists. Volunteers can help point out escape routes and possible safety issues to potential adopters.

Adoption Events
Just a few short hours of your time will help us save and care for more dogs. Helping out at these adoption events can include setup, clean up, soliciting donations, care and handling of the dogs, adoption counseling and more.

Fundraising
Use your talents or experience in non-profit fundraising to help us raise the funds necessary to save more lives. You can create your own fundraiser, such as a garage sale, car wash or bake sale, or you can assist us with one of our events.

Advertising and Promotion
Use your creativity to help promote OCC: All Retriever Rescue or any of our dogs. Additional assistance is needed stuffing newsletters, advertising adoptions and other special events, as well as creating and distributing flyers..

Adoption Process
Help with call backs and e-mail returns, phone interviews, reference checks etc; you will have to become knowledgeable with all aspects of OCC: All Retriever Rescue's operations.

Special Events
Help with special events, such as the Holiday Gala, Summer BBQ Picnic, Dog Walk, Woofstock, promotional events, etc.
